Born in Washington D.C., but raised in Lawrenceville, VA, Cornelius C.  Alexander never imagined that he would ever be creating faces for a living.  At the age 18, he moved to Maryland to pursue a career in the field of Beauty.  While attending Cosmetology schools in Laurel, MD and Washington D.C., he became a Hairstylist and a Barber.

 

His interest in makeup surfaced in 2001 as hobby.  Although he had no formal training, after watching other makeup artists, his artistic side caused him to seek employment at various makeup counters.  Despite this, he eventually stopped pursuing his dream.

There have been several instances which I have met with a client, spent and hour with them, or performed a service and they acted as if the service was supposed to be discounted. Now the disturbing fact of the matter is there are so many non certified, non licensed, unprofessional individuals undercutting the value of what we do. They have no former training, have never been to school, or refuse to go through continuing education. How can you call yourself a professional? It makes it tough on the real professionals, who have worked hard to get to where we are in the industry. My rates are my rates, I politely let anyone know why, but in reality, lets look at the cost. My time, my gas, my product, my license, continuing education, mortgage, children, etc...need I go on! Bill collectors do not take any days off, and I stand behind what I do, how well I do it, and the reason I charge.
